If anybody is visiting Edinburgh they may be interested in a new touring site which I have been closely involved with over the few years.

Twenty-plus years of motor caravanning helped in deciding the layout and installation of the facilities in the Caravan Park at Newtongrange, seven miles south of Edinburgh on the A7.

Forty-six individually marked pitches all with electric hook-up, 6 hard standing, all are good sized and pretty level with easy access.

Newly built heated toilet block has a laundry room and baby changing room/disabled toilet. There is also a Motorhome emptying point and a dog exercise area.

The site is on a bus route and close to many local places of interest including the Scottish Mining Museum and the Butterfly Farm. Fishing, golf and cycle tracks are all close by.

Local amenities including shops and swimming pool are just a ten-minute walk away.

Good hotel with bar/restaurant opposite.
